Epic Business Intelligence (BI) Developer- "Epic Cogito", Clarity

These resources will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data extracts within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system using tools like Cogito, Clarity, and Caboodle. They will also translate clinical/operational needs into actionable data insights, requiring strong SQL skills, data modeling, and Epic certification to improve patient care and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Report & Dashboard Development: Create, test, and maintain reporting solutions using Epic Cogito tools, including Reporting Workbench, Radar dashboards, and SlicerDicer. Data Extraction & Analysis: Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Clarity and Caboodle for analytical use. Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications. System Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize reporting performance and ensure data accuracy. Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data security and governance standards. Required Skills and Qualifications Epic Certification: Current certification in Epic Cogito, Clarity, or related data models is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, relational database management, and data warehousing concepts. Data Tools: Experience with reporting tools like Caboodle, Crystal Reports, SSRS, Tableau, or Power BI. Healthcare Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare data, workflows, and EHR systems. Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
