This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in independent work environments and is confident managing complex patient situations over the phone.</p><p>Although this is a fully remote position, candidates <strong>must reside in New York State</strong> to ensure service area alignment and accommodate potential future deployment mechanisms.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Provide telephonic clinical triage and patient assessment</li><li>Evaluate patient symptoms and determine appropriate level of care</li><li>Engage in complex and sensitive conversations with patients, families, and hospital staff</li><li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and timely care coordination</li><li>Document assessments and clinical decisions accurately and thoroughly</li><li>Work independently while maintaining high clinical standards and accountability</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Required Qualifications</p><ul><li>Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license</li><li>Recent <strong>ICU or Emergency Room (ER) experience required</strong> (strong preference for experience in both settings)</li><li>Minimum of 3–5 years of acute care clinical experience</li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle high-acuity cases and rapid clinical decision-making</li><li>Strong communication skills, particularly in navigating difficult conversations with families and healthcare professionals</li><li>Proven empathy, emotional intelligence, and compassionate patient interaction</li><li>Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong time management skills</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Ideal Candidate Profile</p><ul><li>Calm and confident under pressure</li><li>Clinically sound with strong critical thinking skills</li><li>Emotionally intelligent and capable of balancing firmness with tenderness</li><li>Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills</li></ul><p></p>
