Texas Title Examiner
Position Overview
The Title Examiner is responsible for producing, reviewing, and delivering real estate title documents to clients. This role focuses on preparing title reports, commitments, and policies; identifying and resolving title defects; and ensuring all title deliverables meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily title deliverables for assigned orders
• Enter search data from the title abstractor's report into the title production software
• Identify title issues and curative requirements
• Review purchase and sale contracts
• Perform title curative tasks
• Coordinate and review HOA, survey, and MLS documentation
• Deliver title products to clients
• Communicate and escalate title issues to management as needed
• Track post-closing discharges and releases
• Prepare and deliver final title insurance policies to lenders and consumers
Qualifications
Required
• Working knowledge of the real estate title process
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, follow-up, and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with customers, clients, and vendors
Preferred
• Prior relevant title and closing experience
• Experience with ResWare and/or Qualia
• Knowledge of state-by-state processes and their impact on the closing process
