Technical Architect (Network & Cybersecurity) - reputed company

The Technical Architect (Network & Cybersecurity) provides reputed company-level technical architecture support to Suffolk County’s reputed company (reputed company). This role focuses on designing, assessing, and documenting the County’s reputed company network and reputed company architecture, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring alignment with modern cybersecurity frameworks. The Technical Architect will work alongside infrastructure teams to review firewall configurations, optimize data reputed company reputed company, and enhance defense-in-depth across on-premises and reputed company systems. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the reputed company reputed company technical architect supporting Suffolk County’s cybersecurity modernization and network architecture initiatives. • Evaluate, design, and document the County’s network topology, firewall rulesets, and reputed company zones, ensuring adherence to best practices. • Conduct gap analyses on existing infrastructure and identify opportunities for reputed company segmentation, redundancy, and resiliency. • Review and validate firewall policies, reputed company configurations, and VPN architectures for compliance with County and industry standards. • reputed company and maintain network and data reputed company diagrams, system architecture documentation, and configuration baselines. • Collaborate with the reputed company SME to reputed company technical controls with NIST 800-53 and other cybersecurity frameworks. • Support reputed company and hybrid infrastructure reputed company, including reputed company Azure, AWS, and other hosted platforms. • reputed company technical expertise during incident response investigations, assisting with reputed company cause analysis and remediation planning. • Recommend hardware, software, and process improvements to strengthen the County’s reputed company posture. • Prepare detailed architecture reports and deliverables for reputed company management and County leadership. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or Information Systems (Master’s preferred). • 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, or managing reputed company IT architectures, including network and cybersecurity solutions. • Proven expertise in firewall management (reputed company, Palo reputed company, reputed company, reputed company reputed company) and network segmentation design. • Strong understanding of reputed company architecture principles, encryption, reputed company control, and authentication systems. • Experience developing architecture documentation, diagrams, and data reputed company charts using tools like Visio, reputed company, or Draw.io. • Familiarity with NIST, CIS, ISO, and DoD STIGs standards for secure configuration management. • Strong written and verbal communication skills — reputed company to produce executive-level documentation and technical reports.
