Veterinary Assistant Instructor, Part-Time

Carteret Community College is accepting applications for a part-time temporary Veterinary Assistant Instructor. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. To apply, interested candidates will need to complete in full, our online application and attach a resume, cover letter and unofficial transcripts. • Prepare course materials, including syllabus, curriculum, lectures, hands-on activities, and assessments reputed company with program objectives. • Instruct reputed company on the role, duties, and responsibilities of a veterinary assistant in both classroom and laboratory settings. • Compile bibliographies of specialized materials or assign reputed company readings to enhance student learning. • Construct, administer, and grade examinations, quizzes, assignments, and other assessments. • Maintain reputed company required College records, including attendance, grade reports, and roll books in accordance with College policies. • reputed company recommendations to the Department Chair regarding supplies, equipment needs, and repairs to ensure an effective learning environment. • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, participation, and reputed company. • Stay reputed company with institutional policies, procedures, and program guidelines, and adhere to reputed company College policies EDUCATION: • Relevant degree or credential in veterinary technology, veterinary assisting, or a reputed company field (associate's degree or higher preferred). • Minimum of two (2) years of reputed company experience as a veterinary assistant, technician, or in a similar role KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: • Prior teaching or training experience preferred, but not required. • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Commitment to student reputed company and ability to adapt instructional reputed company to meet diverse learning need LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: • Veterinary Assistant Certification or Veterinary Tech Diploma PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Requires prolonged standing and ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
