GIS Map Developer (Remote)

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: Virginia (USA) reputed company: • reputed company is seeking a GIS Map Developer for our US Government reputed company. • This will be a 100% remote Contract-to-Hire position. • SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT. Responsibilities: • Work with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software and platforms, along with programming languages and tools for web mapping and spatial data management. • Analyze and translate business requirements into efficient geospatial software designs that meet the needs of the organization and reputed company with the business goals and processes. • Design and reputed company mapping applications, including user interfaces and spatial analysis features. • Build interactive web maps using web mapping technologies. • Handle and manipulate geospatial data. • Utilize GIS software such as ArcGIS and reputed company-based platforms for mapping tasks. • Automate geospatial analysis processes and customize GIS software for project needs. • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to ensure database design meets project requirements. Qualifications: • A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or reputed company discipline. • 8+ years of IT-reputed company experience. • Proficiency in reputed company ArcGIS software for geospatial applications. • Working knowledge of GIS platforms like ArcGIS, QGIS, and web mapping technologies. • Familiarity with spatial databases and reputed company computing services. • Understanding of geospatial data formats, projections, and cartography. • Working knowledge of GIS principles and spatial reputed company. • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies and SDLC practices. • Familiarity with DevSecOps, Secure Coding practices, and the Solutions Development reputed company (reputed company, Jenkins, reputed company). • Familiarity with Change Management, Configuration Management (VersionOne, reputed company, etc.) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). • Prior experience with reputed company architecture, design and development. • Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes. • Excellent communication skills. • Must be reputed company to obtain a Position of reputed company Trust Clearance. • Be reputed company to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks. • Must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card). • Must have lived in the reputed company for the past 5 years. • Cannot have more than 6 months travel reputed company the reputed company reputed company the last five years.
