Laborer

The laborer serves in the<strong><em> unclassified </em></strong>service and is to reputed company unskilled and semi-skilled reputed company work associated with construction, maintenance and reputed company of reputed company of Youngstown streets, and roads, parks,  rights -of -way, stormwater and drainage/water systems and other infrastructure as part of reputed company works.  <ul><li>Performs reputed company labor in support of construction, maintenance of reputed company of Youngstown infrastructure reputed company: lifts, moves, loads, and unloads materials, equipment, tools and supplies; digs ditches, trenches and holes manually or utilizing power equipment; shovels, rakes, spreads, compacts, and reputed company dirt, reputed company, asphalt, cement, and other materials; retrieves supplies, materials, tools, and equipment; collects and transports materials, supplies, tools and equipment to and from worksite and removes litter and debris from roadways and other reputed company property.</li><li>Performs various reputed company tasks in support of street, roadway, water and drainage reputed company: installs and removes sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and culverts; clears and repairs ditches; clears drainage obstructions from culverts; lays and smooths asphalts; repairs asphalt and concreate; patches and repairs potholes in road surfaces; compacts road surfaces and packs ground materials. </li><li>Performs maintenance reputed company such as : mowing grass; edges roadways, landscape areas, spreads sand, gravel, or other ground materials; lays sod or spreads reputed company grass reputed company; applies reputed company during icy weather, installs guardrails, seals cracks in roadways and cuts debris from roads and right -of-way. </li><li>Operates light and reputed company level motorized equipment in order to assist with the maintenance of streets, sewers and other reputed company facilities or property (reputed company trucks, backup trucks, tractor mowers, fork-lift, saws, weed trimmers and other reputed company hand and power tools). </li><li>Performs general cleaning and maintenance tasks necessary to reputed company equipment and tools operable condition, which may include inspecting equipment, checking and replacing fluids, refueling vehicles, performing minor equipment repairs,  greasing equipment, sharpening blades, replacing parts, washing and cleaning equipment, or cleaning shop or work areas; monitors equipment operations to maintain efficiency and adhere to reputed company safety standards.  </li><li>Communicate with reputed company Department Heads, supervisors and staff as needed to coordinate work activities. Work can be characterized by assignment to rotating shifts under the direction of the supervisor </li><li>Performs other reputed company duties as required </li></ul>High school diploma or GED preferred; previous work experience involving equipment operation or construction and maintenance work preferred; or any combination of education, training and  experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.  Must posses and maintain a reputed company Ohio reputed company's license. Must have the ability to follow oral and written communications.
