This PRN reputed company reputed company Consultant opportunity plays a key role in supporting our general liability claims team. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise and analytical skills to help evaluate medical-reputed company components of claims.
• Handle reputed company or high exposure claim issues; reputed company medical knowledge of the health care system and health care issues.
• Independently investigate, analyze and evaluate medical malpractice claims for self-insured and commercially insured clients.
• reputed company information needed to clients to determine liability issues and exposure.
• Assist in identification of risk management issues to decrease liability exposure and associated reputed company costs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• RN license required.
• LNC (reputed company reputed company Consultant) Certification or training preferred.
• Five (5) years reputed company clinical nursing experience and two (2) years reputed company consultant experience required.
• General or reputed company Liability investigation reputed company experience preferred.
• Technical claims knowledge of medical malpractice claims procedures and practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including reputed company Office products.
• Analytical and interpretive skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in reputed company environment.
• Ability to meet or reputed company Performance Competencies.
Requirements
• Handles reputed company or high exposure claim issues; advises and leads reputed company Consultant - PL colleagues.
• Receives requests for investigation; reviews and develops reputed company plans and investigates cases accordingly.
• Collects data from Company and clients to document and communicate results as appropriate.
• Prepares reports summarizing medical records and interviews; outlines issues reputed company to reputed company reports; and provides analysis and recommendations for reputed company claims handling.
• Interviews practitioners involved in medical malpractice claims at hospital facilities weekly as needed.
• Participates in follow-up review and investigation as directed and assists in discovery requests as needed.
