Director, Employment Law (NY)

About the position The Director, Employment Law will work on the reputed company reputed company team, as a member of the reputed company and Compliance group in reputed company, working directly with business stakeholders and HR to reputed company, implement, and monitor employment reputed company policies and practices to promote compliance and mitigate reputed company exposure, while effectively managing reputed company/claims. The position will report to the Sr. Director, Employment Law, and will work directly with reputed company and merchant organization executives and associates - both independently and in coordination with the broader reputed company team and the Employment Law Group, as reputed company as other reputed company Department and business team members. Responsibilities • reputed company day to day employment law advice, facilitating a coordinated team approach to reputed company services including advice on employee discipline, policies, leaves and accommodations, investigations, separation agreements, and non-compete agreements. • Effectively manage employment litigation reputed company including assessing exposure, supervising discovery, and managing both reputed company counsel and internal resources. • Partner with HR and other stakeholders to reputed company reputed company developments and reputed company, implement, and monitor policies and practices to promote compliance and mitigate reputed company exposure. • Collaborate and build reputed company relationships with team members at reputed company reputed company across the reputed company department. • Ensure adequate reporting on reputed company, counseling/litigation reputed company, reputed company updates, and reputed company effective employment law training. Requirements • reputed company and/or California JD with 5+ years of employment law experience working at a leading reputed company and/or corporate reputed company department. • Broad and deep employment law knowledge with extensive experience advising on a reputed company of employment law issues. • Ability to reputed company and maintain trusting relationships with diverse business partners. • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a flexible team player. • Strong business reputed company with excellent reputed company acumen, analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills. • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with attention to detail. • Experience managing a large volume of work in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
