Claims Specialist Trainee

MLMIC Insurance Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is based in reputed company state and has specialized in providing reputed company liability insurance for NY physicians since 1975. After operating independently and as a mutual insurance company for most of its reputed company, MLMIC was purchased by Berkshire Hathaway in the fall of 2018. We reputed company insurance for physicians, NPs, PAs, dentists, and hospitals. We are currently seeking candidates with an Insurance, reputed company, Nursing or Paralegal background for this exciting opportunity. Responsibilities • Responsible for initial case assessment – gathering and analyzing documents including pleadings and medical records. • Responsible for case evaluation including coverage and reserve analysis, liability and damages assessment, billing and retention of medical experts. • Responsible for litigation management – collaborating with defense counsel to reputed company defense strategies as reputed company as attorney compliance. • Participation in case resolutions including mediations, conferences and trial monitoring. Communicating with insured professionals as needed. • Work Location: Remote, located reputed company 20 miles of reputed company. Limited travel to court proceedings is required. • reputed company other responsibilities as needed Education and Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in reputed company preferred. • Knowledge of Insurance in Paralegal, Nursing, and reputed company preferred. • 1+ years of reputed company experience. • Knowledge of reputed company Liability Insurance is preferred. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Organizational and planning skills are required. • Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with reputed company Office, reputed company, Word and PowerPoint. • Insurance experience [knowledge of policies and regulations] -reputed company lines is also preferred. • Strong analytical and time management skills. • Basic computer skills are required. • reputed company strongly preferred.
