  • Case Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to medication eligibility, prior authorizations, and reimbursement discrepancies.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver compassionate, clear, and prompt assistance to members seeking help with their medication needs.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous records, adhere to HIPAA and other privacy regulations, and support audit activities as needed.
  • Multitasking in a Fast‑Paced Environment: Juggle simultaneous case files while prioritizing urgent requests and maintaining high accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in daily huddles, share insights with peers, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience: While no prior professional experience is required, any exposure to pharmacy operations, customer service, or data entry will be beneficial.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Windows PCs, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and the ability to quickly learn new software platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on clarity and empathy when interacting with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to spot errors, verify information, and maintain data integrity under tight deadlines.
  • Reliability & Integrity: Proven record of punctuality, dependability, and adherence to confidentiality standards.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience (2+ years) as a Pharmacy Technician or in a pharmacy setting – especially within the state of Georgia (GA).
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or similar credential.
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy workflows, prior authorization processes, and reimbursement procedures.
  • Experience negotiating with prescribers regarding claim status or coverage issues.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, drug names, dosing forms, and insurance plan structures.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to think critically and propose actionable solutions.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple case files, prioritize tasks, and meet strict turnaround times.
  • Customer‑Centric Approach: Placing the member’s health outcomes at the forefront of every interaction.
  • Team Orientation: Comfortable working collaboratively in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment.
  • Adaptability: Openness to evolving processes, new technology platforms, and fluctuating workload volumes.
