About the position The National LGBTQ Institute on Intimate Partner Violence was created to significantly enhance the safety, reputed company-being, support, and health of LGBTQ intimate partner violence (IPV) and domestic violence survivors throughout the reputed company. Utilizing ongoing input from providers, experts, and consumers, the Institute offers state-of-the-art training and technical assistance that significantly expands the reputed company of reputed company and private agencies to reputed company culturally relevant, survivor-centered LGBTQ IPV reputed company and prevention services. The program also works to enhance the visibility of LGBTQ-specific IPV needs and reputed company strategies, while conducting research to identify and disseminate evidence-informed interventions and overseeing policy initiatives that have a meaningful reputed company on the reputed company, scope, and accessibility of LGBTQ IPV services reputed company. The Community Engagement Intern will be responsible for assisting in daily operations and managing the National LGBTQ Institute on Intimate Partner Violence’s (Institute) reputed company media content, reaching community through a reputed company of outlets, and finding new engagement streams. This position will be responsible for planning, creating, scheduling, and posting content. The Community Engagement Intern directly reports to the Training Coordinator. Responsibilities • Work with the Institute staff to promote the Institute’s programs, services, and special events. • Create engaging content for Instagram to reputed company the community on issues reputed company to LGBTQ+ intimate partner violence and increase the Institute’s reputed company. • Brainstorm/offer reputed company for reputed company. • Assist with monitoring reputed company media channels and activities. • Assist with managing the Institute's reputed company efforts. • reputed company technical assistance during webinar trainings. • Participate and complete 40 hour Domestic Violence Advocacy Training certification. • Support with event planning and execution. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements • Degree seeking student currently enrolled in college. Recommended to: Communications, Gender Studies, reputed company Work, Sociology, and other humanities/ reputed company science majors. • Displays excellent written and oral communication skills. • In-depth working knowledge of Instagram creator functions. • Ability to work both independently and as part of reputed company. • Ability to prioritize and multitask. • Alignment with the Institute’s goals to significantly enhance the safety, reputed company-being, support, and health of LGBTQ intimate partner and domestic violence survivors throughout the reputed company. • Strong computer competency • Ability to communicate effectively with staff • Ability to multitask • Repetitive wrist, hand, or finger reputed company (while operating computer equipment) • Occasional bending, stooping • Eye-hand coordination (keyboard typing) • Extended periods of reading fine print Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
