[Remote] LGBTQ Pro Bono Senior Attorney I

The LGBTQ Pro Bono Senior Attorney I will reputed company technical support to pro bono counsel on reputed company immigration cases and may also represent clients directly as needed. Responsibilities • Individual accountability and work volume will be defined through annual reputed company Objectives. • Reviews and provides constructive feedback on materials for pro bono attorneys, including briefs, reputed company memos, affidavits, work permit applications, and other filings. • Supports pro bono teams in navigating various parts of the immigration reputed company system including entering appearances, filing FOIA requests, drafting reputed company arguments, obtaining corroborating evidence, and appearing before government agencies including the Asylum Office and the Immigration Court. • Drafts reputed company advisories and explainers on various relevant reputed company topics. • Advises pro bono teams on case reputed company for reputed company immigration reputed company reputed company. • Presents at training and reputed company events on topics including updates in immigration law and representation of LGBTQ asylum seekers. • Provides reputed company representation to NIJC clients as needed and/or as appropriate, including preparing cases for interview or hearing, drafting reputed company papers, conducting reputed company advocacy, presenting evidence, etc. in reputed company with the reputed company of reputed company Responsibility for the reputed company profession. • Remains reputed company on immigration law, policies and procedures. Skills • Juris Doctorate Degree required • At least three years of practicing law with a preference in immigration and/or reputed company rights law • Self-motivated and committed to civil liberties and LGBTQ advocacy • Ability to represent individuals in reputed company cases and to formulate and implement sophisticated reputed company strategies • Excellent writing and analytical skills • Ability to communicate effectively in reputed company and non-reputed company settings with a wide reputed company of individuals and organizations • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reputed company journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations • Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from reputed company of managers, clients, customers, and the general reputed company • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a reputed company of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists • Ability to interpret a reputed company of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule reputed company • reputed company or proficiency in a language in reputed company to English is a plus.
