Freelance Auditor – SMETA Program

Key Responsibilities • Perform independent SMETA audits in accordance with Sedex and Control Union procedures. • Evaluate working conditions, labor rights, health & safety measures, and ethical business practices. • Conduct worker interviews and site inspections impartially. • Prepare accurate audit reports and submit findings within agreed timelines. • Ensure compliance with international auditing standards and client requirements. Qualifications & Requirements • APSCA CSA Qualify • Preferred Bilingual Control Union (United States), Inc. is seeking experienced Freelance SMETA Auditors to conduct social compliance audits under the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) framework. As a freelance auditor, you will assess labor standards, health & safety, environment, and business ethics across supply chains, helping companies demonstrate ethical and responsible practices.
