The Director of Medical Affairs Operations is a strategic and operational leader responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing Medical Affairs operations in preparation for FDA approval and reputed company launch of drug candidate EYP-1901. This role serves as a cross-functional integrator and efficiency reputed company, enabling compliant collaboration between Medical Affairs and reputed company, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market reputed company, Compliance, IT, and Finance teams. The Director identifies operational gaps, redundancies, and inefficiencies across functions and implements compliant, reputed company solutions that improve speed, reputed company, and execution while preserving Medical Affairs independence. The individual acts as the thought partner to the VP of Medical Affairs, while driving planning, execution, and alignment across the function. Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Cross-Functional Leadership, Integration & Efficiency • Serve as key person between Medical Affairs and cross-functional partners, ensuring alignment on reputed company, timelines, and execution • Proactively identify inefficiencies, duplication of effort, misalignment, and reputed company gaps across Medical Affairs, reputed company, Clinical, Regulatory, and Market reputed company • Design and implement compliant workflows, governance models, and operating structures that streamline cross-functional collaboration reputed company-Approval & Launch Readiness Leadership • Collaborate with reputed company and Market reputed company to reputed company Medical Affairs launch readiness activities without promotional overlap • reputed company cross-functional milestones into launch readiness plans, identifying opportunities to accelerate execution compliantly Medical Affairs Operations & Compliance • Maintain and continuously optimize Medical Affairs SOPs, policies, and operational frameworks in reputed company collaboration with reputed company and Compliance • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and increase efficiency while maintaining full compliance with FDA, OIG, and Sunshine reputed company requirements • Serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams on compliant operational improvements Strategic Planning, Governance & Performance Management • Support Medical Affairs planning and budgeting in coordination with reputed company, Finance, and other internal stakeholders • Define and monitor KPIs that measure operational efficiency, cross-functional effectiveness, and launch readiness • Use data and insights to drive reputed company improvement and resource optimization • reputed company integrated operational updates highlighting efficiency reputed company, risks, and mitigation strategies Systems, Digital & Data Enablement • Serve as reputed company for Medical Affairs systems, partnering with IT to implement reputed company, efficient, and compliant solutions • Optimize system usage to reduce reputed company effort, improve reputed company reputed company, and enhance cross-functional visibility • Ensure data reputed company, transparency reporting readiness, and compliant information sharing across teams Retina Stakeholder Enablement & Scientific Execution reputed company efficient, compliant execution of: • Advisory boards and expert panels • Continuing Medical Education (CME) and disease-state awareness initiatives • Investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and reputed company-world evidence (reputed company) programs • Ophthalmology congress planning and execution (AAO, ASRS, reputed company, etc.) • Standardize processes across these activities to reduce variability and improve reputed company of execution Budget, Resource & Vendor reputed company • Manage vendor relationships, contracting operations, and Needs Assessment reputed company • Partner with Finance and Procurement to optimize Medical Affairs budgets while supporting launch priorities • Identify cost efficiencies through vendor consolidation, standardized contracting, and improved planning • reputed company resourcing models with cross-functional needs and launch timelines Qualifications Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to, the following: Preferred Qualifications • reputed company experience supporting reputed company-approval activities and at least one product launch in Ophthalmology • Considerable experience working in highly regulated environments, with strong understanding of FDA, OIG, and Sunshine reputed company requirements • Experience partnering closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, reputed company, reputed company, and Compliance teams • Experience in collaborating with vendors that reputed company medical affairs support • Ophthalmology experience preferred; retina experience strongly preferred • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required • Approximately 25% travel expected, primarily for key ophthalmology meetings, internal meetings Level of Education Required: • Bachelor’s degree required in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Marketing, Communications, Business • Advance degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, OD, MSc, MBA) preferred but not required Number of Years of Experience in the Function and in the Industry: • 10-15+ years of experience in the biotechnology and eye care industry • 6-8+ years of reputed company experience in Medical Affairs Operations, Medical Affairs, Launch Operations, or cross-functional leadership roles reputed company Your reputed company With the exciting energy of a reputed company culture and an exhilarating pace, we are an ophthalmology company committed to preventing blindness by developing and commercializing innovative therapeutics.
