You are an expert in media relations who excels at overseeing public and media relations activities for clients. You have a deep media network, are a captivating storyteller, and dynamic pitch writer, and maybe even consider yourself a bit scrappy. Sound familiar? If you have a reliable internet connection and are willing to keep central or eastern hours, you can work from anywhere. As the media relations manager, you will: • Client management + communication • Own the success of the accounts you manage, ensuring deliverables, creating strategic direction, and meeting client’s goals and expectations • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, industry leaders, freelancers, KNB vendors, and other stakeholders • Demonstrate enthusiasm in client communications • Offer new ideas and initiatives to the team • Run biweekly and ad hoc client meetings • Own project trackers and update them weekly • Onboard new clients • Create timelines and project trackers for new accounts • Client service delivery • Direct account support (PR, marketing, freelancers, etc) to secure deliverables • Set and influence strategy • Set KPIs for accounts and communicate the status • Ensure scopes of work are on track and on time • KNB operations • Maintain a strong contribution margin per account • Look for opportunities to upsell • Report account standing and deliverable status to clients • Track account expenses and update invoice sheet • Assist with new business research, proposal writing, and presentations We understand no candidate checks every single box.
