Role Overview

The Remote Data Entry & VOC Analyst at arenaflex plays a pivotal role in collecting, cleaning, and structuring massive volumes of survey data generated by more than 5 million respondents each year. You will work closely with product owners, data engineers, and agile delivery teams to ensure that the Voice‑of‑Customer platform delivers reliable, high‑quality insights across ten languages and twenty‑plus markets.

This full‑time, remote‑first position offers a competitive hourly rate of $35/hour for the 2024 fiscal year, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional growth and personal well‑being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with utility and product teams to capture and translate business requirements into technical specifications for survey data pipelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance data models within the Cornerstone Data Platform, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance with governance standards.
  • Execute end‑to‑end data ingestion processes using Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, and Python to transform raw survey responses into clean, structured datasets.
  • Perform rigorous data validation, quality checks, and automated testing to guarantee accuracy and completeness of VOC datasets.
  • Design and implement batch and real‑time analytics solutions that support rapid insight generation for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Agile delivery crew to prioritize backlog items, define sprint goals, and deliver incremental improvements on a regular cadence.
  • Document processes, create SOPs, and contribute to knowledge‑sharing repositories to empower cross‑functional teams.
  • Assist in the creation of dashboards and visualizations that surface key trends, sentiment scores, and actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively identify automation opportunities and develop scripts or tools that streamline repetitive data entry and processing tasks.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the VOC methodology, incorporating feedback from customers, product managers, and technology partners.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 + years of hands‑on experience with data entry, data cleansing, or data engineering in large‑scale environments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Hive/Hadoop ecosystem, PySpark, Python (including pandas and NumPy), and shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
  • Analytical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to work with complex data sets, perform statistical analysis, and interpret results for business audiences.
  • Agile Knowledge: Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban frameworks, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Detail Orientation: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and a track record of delivering error‑free work under tight deadlines.
  • Remote Work Readiness: Reliable high‑speed internet connection, a dedicated home office space, and self‑discipline to manage tasks independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or certifications in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms, including API integration and data export workflows.

  • Multilingual abilities, especially in any of the ten languages supported by the VOC platform.
