Venture Equities is an independent sponsor focused on acquiring lower middle market businesses in the $5M to $30M EBITDA range. We pursue control buyouts and structured equity investments and build disciplined capital structures using both equity and credit.
I founded the firm and currently lead sourcing, underwriting, and execution. As deal flow continues to expand, I am looking to bring on a senior partner who can help elevate the firm during critical parts of the process, particularly with management teams, lenders, bankers, and LPs.
This is not a traditional job posting. It is a partnership opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in meaningful transactions without needing to spend their time doing full time sourcing.
The right person will serve as a senior voice on deals, help shape diligence and negotiations, and work alongside management teams after closing to ensure we create real value.

The Role
You would operate as a visible GP on transactions and support several key areas of the investment process:
• Leading or co leading important diligence workstreams including quality of earnings, risk review, and investment committee materials
• Supporting capital structure design, lender conversations, and credit documentation
• Participating in banker processes and helping us close transactions with credibility and confidence
• Representing the firm with LPs and co investors when needed
• Working with management teams and operating partners after closing to help drive value creation priorities

What This Role Is Not
This role is intentionally focused.
You will not be expected to spend your time sourcing deals.
You will not be responsible for building models day to day.
You will not need to relocate if you prefer a remote structure, though some travel will be required for important meetings.

Background That Tends to Work Well
The individuals who tend to thrive in this type of role usually have:
• 15 plus years in private equity, private credit, or investment banking
• Experience closing control buyouts and navigating negotiations and documentation
• A reputation for strong judgment and professionalism under pressure
• A track record of working across multiple industries rather than a single narrow niche
• An interest in partnering with an entrepreneurial founder who is driving sourcing and execution

The economics are designed to align incentives around long term value creation.
Depending on fit and availability, the structure could include:
• Partner level participation at the firm
• Deal by deal GP promote participation
• A hybrid of the two
We typically begin by working together on a live transaction so both sides can evaluate the partnership in a real environment.
