Forensic Accountant Needed for Payment Reconciliation in PE Funds
Seeking an experienced forensic accountant or financial analyst with private equity fund experience to perform a limited-scope reconciliation of contingent payouts tied to multiple PE funds. The work involves reviewing agreement language, reconciling historical payments received, assessing fund status relative to performance benchmarks (e.g., hurdles, carried interest waterfalls), and identifying whether additional payouts may remain possible. This is an analytical, non-litigious engagement focused on clarity and documentation. Scope (Initial Phase): Review governing agreement language Reconcile payments received to date Assess fund-level status and benchmark mechanics Identify information gaps or missing documentation Deliver a concise fund-by-fund summary memo Ideal Background: Forensic accounting, valuation, or PE fund administration experience Familiarity with LPAs, carry waterfalls, IRR / MOIC Experience with complex or contingent compensation structures Deliverable: Short written summary outlining payments to date, potential remaining exposure, and open questions.
