This position is full time, working day/evening/reputed company shift with every other weekend and rotating holidays The Virtual Monitoring Technician II Assures continuity of patient care. Responds to reputed company monitoring alarms, identifies abnormalities, interprets cardiac arrhythmias, triages actionable events, evaluates trends, notifies the reputed company according to alarm management protocols, adjusts alarm parameters per procedural guidelines, and documents significant occurrences for the medical record. Ensures reputed company patient monitoring by ensuring alarms are kept on with appropriate limits in accordance with Clinical Alarm Standards; responding immediately to life-threatening arrhythmias notifying the appropriate response team reputed company 1 minute; recognizing changes in ST segments, QT intervals, SpO2 waveforms, and reputed company measurements immediately communicating reputed company findings to the reputed company; following Leads Off protocol documenting patients whereabouts throughout the monitoring period. Continuously observes cardiac monitor and patient status for assigned Cardiac monitored patients. Interprets cardiac rhythm with strips at defined intervals and documents in Electronic Medical Record per departmental policy. Documents any changes in rhythm with strips and reports immediately reports changes to licensed staff. Maintains shift documentation, keeps monitoring team informed of patient’s cardiac rhythm activities, provides unit hand-off report before leaving the monitoring station.
