Colorado - Structural Engineer - Residential
I have a double A-frame house and back in the 70's, they added on the original A-frame. The original roof structure was left inside the home. I want to remove one of the existing beams of the old roof structure and install a horizontal beam tying into 2 existing beams and transfer the load if possible. I have pictures, etc..I just need to know if it is possible and if so, what type/size can we install. On top of this, I would need some plans drafted to extend our loft into a true 2nd story living space
