Sr. Sustainability Project Manager – Remote

Job DescriptionJob Description breea is currently seeking talented team members to join its growing team of sustainability consultants as a Sr. Sustainability Project Manager. This is a great opportunity to work with and help shape the sustainability strategies of real estate portfolios. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, can effectively communicate with clients, and has experience implementing sustainability strategies in the commercial real estate sector. Primary Job Responsibilities: • Works collaboratively with breea’s team to develop and implement holistic sustainability strategies for its real estate clients. • Supports and/or manages Fitwel, LEED, and other green building certifications for high-profile assets across the U.S. • Supports the sustainability reporting process on behalf of clients, including Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) strategy/submissions, and annual ESG/sustainability reports, among others. • Performs market research and peer analyses to help clients position their portfolios for changing market conditions. • Performs utility and carbon emissions analyses and benchmarking using portfolio- and/or property-level available data sources. • Coordinates with breea’s team to develop client proposals, including time estimation, scope of work creation, and proposal follow-up. • Develops and maintains effective client relationships, continually seeking opportunities to expand breea’s services with existing and potential clients. Qualifications: • A Bachelor’s Degree in environmental sciences, sustainability, engineering, architecture, landscape architecture (or related field), or equivalent directly-related experience. • Five or more years’ experience with real estate portfolio-level ESG/sustainability consulting. • Experience with LEED and Fitwel certifications . • Experience with the GRESB assessment . • Experience with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager platform . • Ability to efficiently work autonomously. • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities simultaneously. • Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent project and time management skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Knowledge of ESG and sustainability topics in the commercial real estate industry. • Strong analytical capabilities. • Familiarity with building design and operations, including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems. • Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED Accredited Professional (AP), and/or Fitwel Ambassador designations . • Proficient with various software systems (MS Office, CRM, project management) • Ability to travel periodically. • Comfortable with and able to work remotely, without a physical office; prior remote working experience . • Desire to be a key part of a dynamic team, working closely to help grow strong client relationships.
