Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Tax Manager to lead our tax team and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations. The ideal candidate will oversee tax planning, compliance, and reporting, while providing strategic advice to clients. This position offers flexibility to work from home and requires a proactive approach to managing multiple client portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead tax planning and compliance efforts for a diverse client base
• Review and prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
• Provide guidance and recommendations on tax strategies to minimize liabilities
• Manage the tax team, providing mentorship and training to junior staff
• Ensure timely filing of all tax returns and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations affecting clients
• Communicate effectively with clients to address their tax-related inquiries and concerns
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Experience with C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnerships, and 1041 tax return preparation is preferred
• Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is a plus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
