Position Overview
Job Title: Gift Processing & Data Entry Specialist (Reference #824896)
Location: Cleveland, OH (On‑site)
Employment Type: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday
Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Compensation: $20 – $22 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Reporting To: Development Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
As a Gift Processing & Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the backbone of our donor management workflow. Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Accurate Gift Entry: Key in all gifts, pledges, and in‑kind donations into the Raiser’s Edge database with meticulous attention to detail.
- Donor Communication: Draft and send timely acknowledgment letters, receipts, and follow‑up requests to donors and prospects, ensuring a positive donor experience.
- Reconciliation & Reporting: Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly donation totals; generate custom reports for the Development team, finance department, and senior leadership.
- Data Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of donor records, identify duplicates or errors, and implement corrective actions to maintain a clean database.
- Collaboration: Work closely with fundraising coordinators, grant managers, and finance staff to gather missing information, resolve discrepancies, and support campaign initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify workflow bottlenecks and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and data integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure gift processing follows all applicable regulations, including tax receipt issuance and data privacy standards.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in data entry, preferably within a nonprofit fundraising environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Raiser’s Edge or similar donor management systems.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and Word.
- Exceptional attention to detail; able to spot errors and inconsistencies quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with donors, volunteers, and internal staff.
