AMAZON INVENTORY & PERFORMANCE PLANNER(1P / 3P - Domestic & International)Location: Westbury, NY (On-Site)Department: Sales / PlanningReports To: Director of PlanningEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Amazon Inventory & Performance Planner to oversee the health, efficiency, and profitability of our Amazon business across both 1P (Vendor Central) and 3P (Seller Central) channels - domestically and internationally.This role owns the strategic management of inventory health over time - ensuring strong inventory turns, minimal aged exposure, optimized assortment productivity, and disciplined in-season performance management.The ideal candidate understands how to balance growth and inventory risk across multiple licensed brands while driving operational and financial performance.Core ResponsibilitiesInventory Health & Turn Optimization (Primary Focus)Monitor and manage aged inventory across 1P and 3P businessesAnalyze inventory turn and identify opportunities to improve velocityDevelop strategies to reduce excess and aging inventory exposureTrack Weeks of Cover and inventory efficiency across brandsPartner with Sales to proactively address slow-moving SKUsRecommend liquidation, promotional, or pricing strategies where neededIn-Season Performance ManagementMonitor weekly and monthly sell-through trendsIdentify underperforming styles early and recommend action plansSupport promotional planning to drive velocity where neededHold cross-functional stakeholders accountable to performance targetsProvide leadership with clear visibility into in-season risks and opportunitiesAssortment OptimizationAnalyze assortment productivity across brands and channelsIdentify opportunities to:Expand high-performing categoriesRationalize underperforming SKUsImprove mix by margin contributionSupport new product launch decisions with performance dataEvaluate duplication or cannibalization across 1P and 3P1P / 3P Channel ManagementMonitor inventory exposure differences between 1P and 3P modelsEvaluate margin implications across channelsIdentify operational inefficiencies impacting inventory flowTrack chargebacks and operational deductions (1P) in partnership with FinanceMonitor stranded, aged, and excess FBA inventory (3P)International Marketplace OversightMonitor inventory health across international marketplacesIdentify regional slow-moving inventory riskSupport international allocation strategiesCoordinate with Operations regarding longer lead times and compliance constraintsReporting & Leadership CommunicationDevelop dashboards tracking:Inventory turnAged inventory %In-stock %Weeks of SupplyRevenue by brand/channelPresent clear, actionable summaries to leadershipProvide forward-looking risk assessment and mitigation plansKey Performance MetricsThis role directly influences:Inventory turnoverAged inventory %Excess inventory exposureGross margin preservationIn-season sell-throughAssortment productivityQualifications3-6 years of Amazon planning, inventory management, or eCommerce analytics experienceDirect experience with both Vendor Central (1P) and Seller Central (3P) preferredStrong understanding of inventory turns and working capital impactAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, dashboard creation)Strong commercial mindset - understands margin and inventory riskExperience in apparel or consumer products preferredExperience with international Amazon marketplaces a plusStrong communication and presentation skills
