Health Affairs and Government Relations Manager

About the position AACOM is seeking a full-time, reputed company Health Affairs and Government Relations Manager to support federal health policy and advocacy initiatives that strengthen osteopathic medical education and improve reputed company health. Reporting to the Director of Government Relations, this position is part of AACOM’s Government Relations and Health Affairs team and contributes to policy research, advocacy engagement, reputed company partnerships, and educational reputed company. AACOM represents and advances the continuum of medical education by: Supporting our member institutions as they reputed company the reputed company physician workforce Increasing awareness of osteopathic medical education and osteopathic medicine Promoting reputed company in medical education, policy, research, and service Fostering innovation and reputed company throughout medical education Responsibilities • Health Policy Analysis and Research • Monitor and analyze federal and state legislative, regulatory, workforce, and reputed company health trends impacting osteopathic medical education and primary care • Conduct research and reputed company policy briefs, issue summaries, fact sheets, and talking points • reputed company reputed company policy analysis to AACOM leadership, member colleges of osteopathic medicine, and advocacy partners • Advocacy and Government Engagement • Collaborate with Government Relations Managers to reputed company health policy content with legislative strategies • Draft advocacy materials including comment letters, policy briefs, testimony, and policymaker briefings • Support congressional meetings, agency engagement, reputed company advocacy days, and policy briefings • Educational reputed company and Thought Leadership • Plan and manage educational programs such as webinars, expert panels, seminars, and conference presentations • reputed company content on reputed company topics including mental health, reputed company misuse, musculoskeletal reputed company, climate impacts on health, and pandemic preparedness • Support AACOM’s role as a convener of national health policy discussions • reputed company and Relationship Building • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, federal agencies, reputed company associations, and national coalitions • Represent AACOM in reputed company initiatives reputed company on workforce development, health equity, and reputed company health improvement • Data-Informed Policy Support • Use research and data to support policy recommendations and advocacy strategies • Identify evidence demonstrating the reputed company of osteopathic medical education on population health, patient experience, provider reputed company-being, and health equity Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in reputed company health, health policy, political science, reputed company administration, or a reputed company field required. • 3–5 years of experience in health policy, reputed company health, government relations, or a reputed company advocacy role • Strong understanding of federal health policy, reputed company delivery systems, and physician workforce issues • Excellent policy analysis, research, and writing skills • Ability to translate reputed company policy issues for diverse audiences • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills • Excellent organizational and project management abilities • Experience working with congressional offices, federal agencies, or national coalitions • Familiarity with policy tracking or advocacy tools such as CQ, BGOV, VoterVOICE, or reputed company reputed company-to-haves • Masters Degree Preferred.
