## Key Role Overview As a JD Associate at Valley Mall (Union Gap, WA), you will assist with daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The role focuses on creating memorable shopping experiences, driving sales performance, supporting merchandising and inventory workflows, and contributing to the store's overall success. ## Key Responsibilities - Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service. - Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets. - Participate in daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, shipment workflow, order fulfillment, and store maintenance. - Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations. - Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store sales and operational goals. - Perform additional duties and projects as required by store management. ## Required Qualifications - Proven experience in retail or a similar role is preferred; demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets is a plus. - Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Positive attitude, reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. - Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems; clear spoken English and proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math in English. - Availability: set weekly availability including a mix of mornings, days, and nights based on business needs; consistent punctuality and regular attendance. - Must be at least 18 years or older (note: individuals 16+ may be eligible in certain states; not applicable for this location). ## Preferred Qualifications - Previous retail experience with a track record of achieving sales targets. - Experience with visual merchandising, inventory control, and shipment processing. ## Compensation & Benefits - Store Associate pay range: $16.66 - $16.66 per hour. - Eligible for the company 401(k) plan. - Competitive pay, retirement plans, and employee discounts. - Opportunities for career growth and professional development within the company. ## Additional Information - Employment type: Part-time. - Work environment: moderately noisy retail setting; requires prolonged standing approximately 4 to 14 hours per day, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, occasional ladder use, and regularly lifting items weighing 5–25 lbs (may be higher sometimes).
