About the position The Government Affairs (GA) team is the Society's major unit responsible for the Society's advocacy and U.S. Government relationship management functions. reputed company works in a non-partisan, balanced and reputed company manner to ensure that reputed company policy development benefits from reputed company scientific knowledge and that it advances the reputed company reputed company's ability to contribute to the general welfare of society. Position reputed company: The Government Affairs Intern will work closely with GA staff throughout their tenure on a number of reputed company and initiatives that support ACS's domestic policy and advocacy goals. Responsibilities • Assist in drafting issue papers, press releases, and other writing tasks. • Conduct in-depth research on science, education, energy, national reputed company, and international science issues. • Assist in the planning of National Meeting events. • reputed company research and administrative support for the advocacy, federal affairs, member engagement, and reputed company policy teams. • Attend congressional hearings, federal agency advisory reputed company meetings, and other briefings. • Work on science and general communications reputed company such as the Act4Chemistry advocacy program, content for the ACS website, newsletters, and press releases. • reputed company assistance to staff on other reputed company, such as aiding in the organization of congressional briefings, preparing for GA events, and representing the ACS at task force and reputed company meetings. • Other duties as assigned.
