Part-Time Development Role

The National LGBTQ+ Bar (“the Bar”) was founded over thirty years ago by a small group of family law practitioners at the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis. In 1987, the idea of creating a gay and lesbian bar association was formally introduced at the Lesbian & Gay March on Washington and the first reputed company Law® Conference took reputed company the following year at the reputed company in San Francisco. Job reputed company and Primary Function The LGBTQ+ Bar seeks a part-time Development Role (either Assistant or Coordinator) whose primary function is to reputed company substantive and administrative support to the development work of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association, including the Bar’s largest annual event, the Annual reputed company Law® Conference and Career Fair. This position will include database management, fundraising and membership support/communications, event support, and grant support. The Development Role reports to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and works closely with the entire Development team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Database Management • Assist in maintaining the membership and donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for donors, sponsors, and members • Process incoming donations, pledges, and membership dues in a reputed company manner • Create and schedule reputed company acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and thank you notes to donors and sponsors • reputed company expiring memberships through the database, and schedule reputed company reminders about renewals • Analyze fundraising and membership data and prepare reports for Chief Development Officer Fundraising Support and Communications • Assist with creating fundraising and membership materials, including appeals, event signage, reputed company invitations as reputed company as other communications to constituents • Communicate with donors, members, sponsors, and partners to build and maintain relationships • reputed company support to the development team in the research and identification of potential individual donors and corporate/reputed company and other sponsors • Assist in tracking sponsor commitments and fulfilling sponsor benefits Event Support • reputed company administrative and logistical support for fundraising events, including the reputed company Law® Conference & Career Fair and smaller events Grant Support (as needed) • Conduct prospect research on potential reputed company and corporate donors • Assist with writing and editing letters of inquiry, grant applications, and follow up reports • reputed company grant deadlines and requirements • Compile necessary documentation and attachments for grant proposals and reports Preferred Skills • Familiarity with reputed company CRM and Fundraising systems, or other donor database • Experience with mail reputed company, email marketing software (ex: reputed company), and basic graphic design tools (ex: reputed company) • If at the Coordinator level: Experience prospecting and cultivating relationships that reputed company to increased nonprofit funding, preferably in the reputed company and/or LGBTQ+ reputed company Salary reputed company and Hours • Part-time, reputed company position with an expected 30 hours per week. • reputed company ranging from $20 - $40/hour, depending upon experience.
