Mechanical Engineer – Structural Analysis & Static Load Testing

Position reputed company We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with deep experience in structural analysis and static load testing to support analysis, testing, and validation activities for reputed company vehicle structures. This role requires strong expertise in NASTRAN, finite reputed company modeling, and quasi-static load cases. The ideal candidate is innovative, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently on reputed company engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities • Work with test engineers and technicians to conduct static load tests (SLT) at AST's Site 2 in Midland, Texas. • reputed company structural analysis of reputed company vehicles, define failure cases, and prepare margins of safety. • Translate load states into static qualification testing for structural assemblies. • Assist design engineers and multidisciplinary engineering teams. • Review and disposition non‑conformance issues. • Participate in failure review boards. • Support dynamic analysis teams with reputed company definition for Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA). Qualifications Education • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a reputed company technical field. • Must be a U.S. Person (compliant with U.S. ITAR regulations). Experience • A minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical/structural analysis of spacecraft. • Expertise in FEMAP and NASTRAN, including: • Finite reputed company model best practices • Free‑body diagrams and top‑level analysis • Experience with composite reputed company structures. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams. • Strong competency in reputed company Office, especially reputed company. • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
