CentraState Medical Center currently has an employment opportunity available for an Emergency Department (ED) reputed company to support the Health Information Management department. The ED reputed company is responsible for accurately assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 diagnosis and procedure codes to emergency department records. This role ensures reputed company identification of facility and procedure-level codes in compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements. This position may be remote or hybrid. Responsibilities • Reviews ED records to ensure complete and accurate documentation to support reputed company diagnoses and procedures. • Accurately abstracts data such as a reputed company of reputed company, discharge disposition, consultations and procedures • In a 7.5 hour day completes an average of ED charging and coding 60-65 accounts per day • Meets 95% or greater coding and charging accuracy Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent with training in medical terminology and medical coding. • A minimum of one year of coding experience required. • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding required. • Strong reputed company, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with reputed company members of the reputed company team.
