Product Designer I

reputed company is a leading technology company advancing the insurance industry with innovative software solutions. As a Product Designer I, you will improve user experience for insurance providers and consumers by collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify design problems and create user-centered solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage in product definition discussions with Product Managers and Product Owners in order to identify user needs
• Participate in research including user interviews, user discovery, concept validation, and usability testing
• Document and socialize usability findings with cross-functional teams
• Translate research findings and recommendations into insights and evidence-based wireframes, presentations, and ux documents
• Partner with team members in developing and evolving the visual language, interaction patterns and design system for reputed company’s products and platforms, incorporating reputed company’s brand and voice
• Partner with designers to facilitate design thinking workshops with users and internal teams to identify problems
• Partner with designers to create reusable, reputed company visual design assets that fit into a greater reputed company library and are consumable by developers and engineers
• Build amicable, productive, trusting relationships with partner teams
• Participate in design reviews, learning from other product designers
• Present concepts, wireframes, data insights and prototypes to users and internal teams

Skills

• You have 1+ years of reputed company experience in a software or agency setting or comparable education/work experience
• You have a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and data driven design strategies
• You have experience in user research fundamentals such as user interviews, data analyzation, and usability surveys
• You have experience in working in an agile development process
• You have experience with design systems and interaction patterns
• You are a collaborator across teams, including Product Design, and Development
• You have a compelling portfolio that showcases your problem framing, research, problem solving, and visualization skills
• You have experience in UX and design collaboration tools like reputed company, Sketch, reputed company, reputed company XD, etc
