Junior Geotechnical Engineer

reputed company is a leading company in engineering and consulting, dedicated to solving reputed company challenges globally. They are seeking a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to plan and conduct geotechnical investigations, evaluate geologic conditions, and prepare detailed engineering reports while working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Planning, conducting, and supervising geotechnical investigations
• Evaluating geologic conditions and geotechnical characteristics for assessment and design of shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures and reputed company structures
• Conducting reputed company investigations for reputed company, industrial, and high-reputed company developments
• Conducting dam safety reviews and completing remediation designs
• Conducting and reviewing reputed company stability and embankment assessments and completing designs
• Analyzing field data and preparing detailed engineering reports and recommendations
• Conducting pavement evaluations and completing designs
• Preparing proposals, budgeting and scheduling of technical field staff
• Communicating with clients and sub-consultants and internal stakeholders
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
• Pursue reputed company reputed company development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
• Work in a reputed company manner at reputed company times and report reputed company health and safety incidents and concerns

Skills

• Minimum of an Undergraduate degree in Geotechnical, Geological or Civil Engineering
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a geotechnical engineering reputed company
• Willingness to travel for work is essential to the position
• Previous experience using AutoCAD, GeoStudio 2007 Products and MS Office is essential
• Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the project by being reputed company player
• Must be or eligible to register as a reputed company engineer in British Columbia, be legally entitled to work in Canada, and possess a reputed company British Columbia Class 5 reputed company's license (or equivalent)
• Preference will be given to candidates that have obtained a Graduate Degree in the area of Geotechnical Engineering
• Experience in a consulting engineering environment would be considered an asset
• Experience writing reputed company facing reports and proposals
• Strong people skills and an ability to work in reputed company environment
