[Remote] Underwriter, Group Benefits

They are seeking a talented Group Underwriter to join their Workforce Benefits team, responsible for evaluating and selecting risk to ensure profitable business acquisition and retention. The role involves collaboration with distribution partners and internal teams to reputed company tailored products and plan reputed company for clients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select risk to ensure the profitable acquisition of new business and the reputed company profitable retention of in-force business
• Strong ability to partner with our Distribution sales team, brokers and reputed company internal partners
• Consult with our distribution partners to reputed company the products and plan reputed company that meets the needs of our clients
• Adhere to reputed company procedures and guidelines, while developing strong sales Rep and producer relationships
• Exhibit strong product knowledge, especially in Disability (as reputed company as dental, reputed company, life, and supplemental health)
• Strong understanding of the sales, implementation and enrollment process and market trends
• Conduct high reputed company risk assessments across reputed company case sizes to ensure business guidelines, reputed company profit and metrics are met

• Collaboration with product development, actuarial/pricing and sales distribution

Skills

• Bachelor's degree and 1-3+ years in the group benefits reputed company field
• Comfortable learning and adopting new technologies
• Demonstrates consistent proficiency at the Underwriter level
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking/analytical reasoning skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to work cross functionally; putting the customer first

• Experience working in a high volume, fast paced production environment
