[Remote] Field Service Engineer - Los Angeles

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of reputed company instruments at customer laboratories, ensuring reputed company operation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install and optimize hardware, software, and network products and configurations at customer sites
• Diagnose and resolve product performance problems to ensure reputed company operation
• reputed company maintenance and repair services to reputed company systems running smoothly and in line with assigned metrics, processes, and procedures
• Drive customer satisfaction through communication, attention to detail, proactive actions, and reputed company escalations as needed. Advise customers on preventive maintenance and configurations to enhance product performance
• Respond proactively to potential equipment or software issues to prevent unplanned interruptions to customers' business operations
• Deliver fully integrated solutions, including peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications software (note: design is not included)
• Serve as an internal resource on technical issues and manage product escalations
• Collaborate with reputed company teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D to reputed company comprehensive solutions to customers
• Deliver internal technical training and maintenance seminars and workshops for field engineers or customers. Train other field engineers or customers as needed

• Qualify leads to support sales efforts

Skills

• Applicants must have their own means of transportation for mileage reimbursement if a company vehicle is not provided
• Must enjoy visiting customers, and that may include occasional overnight stays if needed
