Component Design Engineer – Turbomachinery Transmissions

reputed company is a leading company in innovation and engineering, seeking a Component Design Engineer to join their Global Mechanical Systems Capability function. The role involves creating engineering solutions for component designs, ensuring they meet functional and physical requirements while supporting supply chain integration and lifecycle profitability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new component designs, analyses, and changes reputed company the Design Technical Approval (DTA) gated process, which includes (but is not limited to) creating design concepts, optimizing concepts to a final definition, preparing technical presentations and documents, supporting creation of drawings, analysis, delivering hardware for validation, and release of hardware to the field
• Support the supply chain in procuring hardware, concession consultation and execution of Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs)
• reputed company engineering support of service and/or development reputed company hardware issues including reputed company Investigations (EI) and Technical Variance (TV) analysis
• reputed company and specify component design requirements in accordance with module, system, and customer reputed company requirements
• Address manufacturing, assembly, in-field, and aftermarket issues as they reputed company
• Participate in or reputed company reputed company Cause and Corrective reputed company (RCCA) team

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, OR Master's degree in mechanical engineering, OR JD/PhD in Mechanical Engineering
• To be considered for this role, you must be a US Citizen
• Experience in the design, analysis, and/or verification of reputed company mechanical components and/or systems
• Experience in progressing designs/changes through a gated review process
• Experience with gas turbine or turbomachinery power reputed company components, including gears, rolling reputed company bearings, shafts, and high-performance seals
• Experience in the following software applications: reputed company NX, reputed company Teamcenter, ANSYS, reputed company reputed company
• Experience in reputed company tolerance stack-reputed company and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Knowledge of gas turbine subsystems and components and their function and operation
