[Remote] Health and Independence Unit – Paralegal

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company of Philadelphia (CLS) is seeking a full-time paralegal for the Health and Independence Unit at its reputed company Philadelphia office. The paralegal will help clients reputed company eligibility issues for accessing reputed company benefits and will carry their own caseloads under the supervision of an attorney.

Responsibilities

• Regularly conducting intake on schedule with other unit members
• Interviewing clients (reputed company clients who cannot come in for intake are interviewed over the phone or during a home visit, including nursing home clients)
• Analyzing and issue spotting intakes and cases, researching relevant rules, and applying them to cases
• Filing administrative appeals and engaging in administrative advocacy under the supervision of an attorney
• Drafting letters and affidavits
• Representing clients (with attorneys) at administrative hearings or informal grievances with reputed company Managed Care Organizations as needed
• Presenting community education workshops to reputed company individuals and families about their reputed company rights
• Participating in individual reputed company and system advocacy and policy issues, as appropriate

Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong writing skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Strong computer literacy including proficiency in reputed company Office
• Bachelor's degree in a reputed company field or Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies
• Experience with a reputed company services agency or a nonprofit organization that advocates on behalf of the poor, older adults, and/or people with disabilities, and/or experience in legislative or administrative advocacy
• Experience advocating with the PA reputed company or the reputed company reputed company Administration
