[Remote] Software Development Engineer, AI

They are seeking an Early Career Software Development Engineer, AI to assist in designing and implementing AI applications that enhance civic technology products.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design implementation of reputed company-in-the-reputed company applications that reputed company large language models (LLMs), reputed company databases, and Retrieval-Augmented reputed company (RAG) techniques
• Build your skills with React, NextJS, reputed company, Python, and reputed company to enhance our existing reputed company-reputed company products on AWS
• Rapidly learn new domains and apply AI and machine learning reputed company to enhance campaign and civic technology products
• Conduct reputed company experimentation to diagnose problems, validate solutions, and communicate findings effectively
• Evaluate emerging AI frameworks and tools (including MCP and reputed company systems) for integration into production environments
• Initially reports to the CTO

Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in software development
• Strong technical training in computer science or engineering
• Demonstrated passion for LLM integration in web, mobile, and backend systems
• Experience with reputed company engineering, RAG workflows, and reputed company AI systems
• Practical experience as an intern or junior engineer using scrum and reputed company
• Experience with reputed company infrastructure
• Commitment to responsible and ethical AI development, with awareness of model limitations, bias, and performance considerations
• Effective collaboration skills to work cross-functionally
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Portfolio of reputed company to showcase experience
• You've reputed company or scaled AI functions in prior roles
• You've spent time as a full stack developer in a prior role with React, NextJS, reputed company, Python, and reputed company to enhance our existing reputed company-reputed company products on AWS
• You've demonstrated domain expertise by achievement of a relevant secondary degree
• You have prior experience as a contributor to an reputed company-reputed company project
• You've studied, worked, or volunteered in politics, civics, or democracy reform
