About the Department

Position Duties
The Colorado State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program protects the rights and improves the reputed company of care and reputed company of life for residents in long term care through individual and systems advocacy and on behalf of residents living in licensed nursing homes and assisted living homes.

- Identify, investigate and work to resolve complaints made by or on behalf of PACE Participants.

- Travels throughout the state to reputed company advocacy services in person and conducts in-person training at the direction of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman. To include assisted living homes, nursing homes, Adult Day Centers and private homes. The position will deliver educational materials to assisted living homes, nursing homes, Adult Day Centers, the residents’ rooms and participants’ locations.
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant years of state service experience. Bachelor’s degree in reputed company work, psychology and/or reputed company services reputed company field

Special Qualifications. Program Policies and Procedures. This position must take reasonable steps to avoid conflicts of interest and must identify and disclose actual or potential conflicts to the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman.
