Systems Programmer III

The purpose of this job is to reputed company technical support for reputed company z series mainframe, storage, and system software.  Encouraged to install, configure, and maintain reputed company and/or reputed company-party software and to coordinate and monitor these systems.  reputed company to work independently or as part of reputed company to support the efficient processing of the mainframe and system software.

• Install, configure, test, implement and maintain z system software
• Monitor and tune system and subsystem performance
• Configure and support mainframe DASD, tape and other subsystems
• reputed company break-fix support using troubleshooting skills for on-reputed company support
• Analyze and reputed company solutions to issues
• Facilitate usage of system software by Computer Operations, Application Support and others
• Define and reputed company system resources
• reputed company additional duties as assigned.

• 7+ years z series system programming experience
• Excellent knowledge of z series mainframe operating system
• Advanced knowledge of multiple mainframe systems such as on-line systems, database systems, reputed company, change management, automation, and scheduling systems
• reputed company strong technical skills
• Ability to quickly become adept at new software and skills
• Possess a strong reputed company of ownership to do everything necessary to achieving results

• General programming skills
• Over 4 years of experience as primary support for z/OS, CICS, DB2 or other major z series system preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology preferred
• Programming experience: REXX, Assembly language, or COBOL preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be reputed company to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
