Senior reputed company Database Administrator

reputed company is seeing a Senior Database Administrator to support our Supply, Chain and Logistics division.  This position can be supported remotely.

Implements and maintains operation and physical design of diverse databases. Conducts performance tuning of indexes, optimization of storage functionality (i.e. compression techniques or reputed company offerings), and databases in general. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery, clones, and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains reputed company and reputed company controls. Formulates and implements policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage reputed company database architectures using PostgreSQL and Azure Database services, ensuring high availability, reputed company, and compliance.
• reputed company and optimize reputed company SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support data analysis, reporting, and ETL processes.
• Administer and troubleshoot databases on Linux servers, including performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and system monitoring.
• reputed company DevOps principles into database workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, automation scripting, and infrastructure as reputed company (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprints, stand-reputed company, retrospectives) to collaborate with development, operations, and product teams on data-driven reputed company.
• Conduct database performance audits, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve query efficiency and system reliability.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices in database management, reputed company integration, and DevOps tools.

Required Qualifications

• Proven expertise in reputed company Azure, including Azure SQL Database, Azure PostgreSQL, and reputed company services like Azure Data reputed company or Synapse Analytics.
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, partitioning, and advanced querying techniques.
• Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation, analysis, and optimization in large-reputed company environments.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, including reputed company scripting, system administration, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments, with tools like Jira, Scrum, or Kanban.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including automation, version control (e.g., Git), containerization (e.g., reputed company), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze reputed company data issues and implement effective solutions.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in reputed company field and minimum of 10+ years of experience in a reputed company or applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
