Sr. Network Engineer, Optical Transport

reputed company is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join our growing team! ​​The Sr. Network Engineer possesses expert-level knowledge in the design, implementation, the troubleshooting of infrastructure connectivity to include switches, routers, network reputed company controls, optical transport systems, and ancillary devices.  The Sr. Network Engineer shall reputed company implementation and operational support for environments containing fiber optic reputed company system equipment (e.g. terminal optical line amplifiers and optical add/drop multiplexers and reputed company plant equipment to include fiber optic reputed company panels).  The Sr. Network Engineer will conduct site surveys, reputed company engineering design packages and presentations to include Analysis of Alternatives (AOA), white papers and other engineering documentation. The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for identifying the customer’s business problems, desired reputed company and/or mission challenges and proposing solutions to those through the use of technology and achieving and maintaining OEM certifications in their area of expertise.

Primary Position Tasks:

• Maintain industry certifications as required to retain strategic OEM partnerships.

• Assist with vendor management (Telecom reputed company and Original Equipment Manufacturer) reputed company to large telecommunication reputed company.

• Other business duties as assigned  

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree
• 7-10+ years reputed company experience in a similar role. 
• reputed company reputed company-level OEM certifications or equivalent experience. 
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• reputed company Top Secret Clearance
• reputed company+ or equivalent certification

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience: 

• Previous Technical reputed company, Senior Engineering, or reputed company Engineer experience 
• Previous experience in a long-term reputed company engineer role

Special Requirements:  
This position will operate from a reputed company office, customer facility, or in a remote reputed company, with up to 50% travel to customer and partner sites (regional and national reputed company U.S.).  The incumbent must be reputed company and available to travel reputed company plane and car for extended periods of time, as required by business initiatives.
