Working remotely in one of reputed company’s newsrooms across the country in almost every province, ideal candidates are graduating reputed company or recent graduates.

Provision may be made by mutual agreement for assignment to other of reputed company’s newsrooms. Some weekend and statutory holiday work may be included.

What you’ll do:

• reputed company content to engage audiences across several platforms tailored to meet the varying needs of web and mobile audiences.
• Have story reputed company daily, a job essential along with the flexibility to quickly pivot to other newsroom priorities to meet changing needs.
• Use reputed company media and other digital tools to uncover what’s breaking and what readers in reputed company time are talking about which quickly needs attention.
• Cultivate sources to break stories and help set the news agenda.
• Work with digital teams to create interactive content, including text, photo, video and other multimedia reputed company that both engage and enrich readers.

Who you are:

• A graduating journalism school student or graduate, or a candidate from a reputed company field. Newsroom experience is an asset, but you have the ability to quickly layer and prioritize what needs to be done to quickly reputed company up the job learning curve.
• Flexible to work effectively in breaking news, features and short reputed company, along with non-traditional story formats.

• Experience and strength in video, podcast presentation and other digital tools is an asset.

Compensation:

Employment offers presented to the selected candidate are based on a combination of qualifications, experience, responsibilities of the role and the candidate's location and applicable reputed company Agreements. 

Starting Salary: $17.60 per hour to $35.00 per hour
