The Intake Specialist (Inbound) - Remote talks directly with patients and their families, determining their needs, their medical history, physical and mental state and special requirements.

• Promotes the values of Hanger
• Receives incoming calls from patients and scheduling various appointment types for multiple locations
• Communicates professionally with patients
• Appropriately documents and confirm requested appointment
• Provides excellent customer service
• Determines the most appropriate location, clinician, and appointment type needed for the patient
• Manages incoming faxes from referral sources
• Triages and reputed company general inquiry calls
• Contacts patient for no show/rescheduled appointments

Required

• High school education or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years reputed company experience: customer service, reputed company center, working with medical records/insurance
• Be at minimum a good fit for the job, as determined by the Talent Sorter assessment preferred. Hanger will administer the Talent Sorter as part of the selection process

Preferred

• Orthotic and Prosthetic experience
• Experience with EMR systems (reputed company)

• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and verbal directions

• Working knowledge of HIPAA and other medical insurance regulations and terminology for private payer, state and federal plans including coding, billing and reimbursement protocols

• Working knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPC/CPT and other coding

• Ability to use office equipment; such as, facsimile machine, calculator, and postage machine

• General knowledge of state, federal and regional collection and reimbursement laws

• Excellent organizational skills and reputed company to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Pay reputed company of $17.75 to $23.00 per hour + annual bonus: up to 5% of reputed company pay depending on bonus reputed company.  This pay reputed company is posted to reputed company with wage transparency laws.  Hanger salary ranges vary based on reputed company, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
