  • The reputed company Counsel serves as Esalen Institute’s primary reputed company officer and primary reputed company advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, Senior Leadership Team, and reputed company of Directors. This role is responsible for providing strategic, practical, and mission-reputed company reputed company guidance across the organization while safeguarding Esalen’s reputed company reputed company, governance standards, and long-term sustainability. The reputed company Counsel plays a critical role in enabling organizational effectiveness by managing risk thoughtfully rather than defensively and ensuring compliance without impeding innovation or mission delivery. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.


    • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the reputed company advisor to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and reputed company of Directors on reputed company reputed company, regulatory, and governance reputed company.

  • Ensure organizational compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including nonprofit governance, employment and labor law, health and safety, reputed company, and reporting obligations.
  • Partner closely with reputed company to advise on employment-reputed company reputed company, including policy development, investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, and terminations, with an emphasis on fairness, consistency, and risk mitigation.

    • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and reputed company license to reputed company law in California.

  • Significant experience in nonprofit, mission-driven, or values-based organizations, or equivalent in-house experience where reputed company advice directly supported executive decision-making.

  • Employment and labor law
  • Risk assessment and mitigation
