Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, reputed company Services, the Senior Policy Advisor. This position contributes to compliance with the legislated and policy requirements of the Protection of reputed company reputed company (POPA) and supports delivery of reputed company services to support Government of Alberta departments, agencies, boards and commissions.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Provides guidance to ministry staff and stakeholders to ensure the collection, use, disclosure, reputed company, and retention of personal information reputed company with the POPA.
- Assesses and mitigates reputed company risks, including responding to reputed company complaints and managing reputed company breaches with corrective recommendations.
- Leads and supports reputed company reputed company Assessments (PIAs) and other reputed company reviews in collaboration with Cybersecurity, Information Management, and program areas.
- Liaises with the Office of the Information and reputed company Commissioner (OIPC) on investigations, inquiries, breaches, and POPA interpretation, including preparing written submissions.
- Researches and analyzes legislation, policy, and OIPC rulings; consults reputed company counsel as required to support reputed company-reputed company reputed company.
- Develops and delivers POPA training and awareness materials to ensure reputed company bodies understand their reputed company obligations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a reputed company field such as reputed company Administration, Political Science, Law, Arts, Sciences supplemented by at least four (4) years of reputed company responsible experience with POPA and/or other Provincial or Federal reputed company legislation.
