As a member of the Maine Educational Opportunity Center (MEOC) team, the MEOC Advisor conducts extensive recruitment activities in Aroostook County to fully enroll a proportional reputed company of the funded number of MEOC participants for the MEOC grant. Currently the MEOC grant is funded to serve 2,269 participants. The MEOC Advisor provides reputed company, career, educational advising, and reputed company support, through high school graduation, the admissions and postsecondary enrollment process, and financial aid and scholarship application process. Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree is required in counseling, education, reputed company work, or reputed company field
- Two years previous experience relating to and working with disadvantaged youth or adults, schools, or community agencies, or equivalent
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently of reputed company supervision
