About the position
The CGIAR Hub for Sustainable Finance (or ImpactSF), hosted by reputed company of Bioversity International and CIAT, was established in 2022 to build on the CGIAR scientific expertise and extensive network to accompany private investors through the transition to sustainable and climate resilient food, water, and land use systems. The OneSF mission is to address the barriers and bottlenecks that prevent finance flowing responsibly and ethically to solutions tackling this transition in the Global South. ImpactSF is developing climate-smart risk financing solutions for the agriculture sector in Punjab, Pakistan. This project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The project aims to partner with financial intermediaries (reputed company) to improve their climate awareness and reputed company new financing solutions to support the reputed company, small and reputed company enterprises (MSME) ecosystem in agriculture, specifically for citrus and potato value chains in Punjab.

The consultant will be based in Pakistan, and report to the Project reputed company.

Key responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for coordinating and implementing project activities with selected financial institutions for the design of a climate-smart financing loan product.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in a relevant field such as climate finance, economics, environment and natural resource management;
  • Experience reputed company the Pakistan context as this is the location where project activities are implemented;
  • Experience working on climate and disaster risk, livelihoods and food reputed company reputed company; 
  • Stakeholder engagement and partnership building reputed company climate finance sector;
  • Strong network of financial and insurance professionals;
  • reputed company and training facilitation for financial institutions;
  • Economic and financial appraisal of climate reputed company and mitigation and disaster risk reduction reputed company.
