Inspector/Auditor (Staff)

The successful candidate should possess a working knowledge or reputed company experience with certification processes and be familiar with one or more industries they will be auditing — such as agriculture, food manufacturing, or other sustainability-reputed company sectors. This role requires travel (50-75%) throughout the US.

 Key Responsibilities: 

1. Review farm, livestock, and processing/handling system plans to ensure compliance with USDA National Organic Program (NOP) and potential for other private standards (e.g., Regenerative Organic, etc).
2. Coordinate travel and schedule inspections for new applicants and certified operations.
3. Conduct inspections to evaluate compliance and produce thorough, accurate reports.

5. Collaborate closely with certification staff to support final review reputed company.
6. reputed company peer evaluations of fellow inspectors as needed.
7. Contribute to internal discussions and reputed company improvement of inspection practices.

Requirements: 

·       Minimum 2,000 hours of relevant education and/or experience in agriculture, food processing or food manufacturing. Organic-specific experience strongly preferred.

·       Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance documentation.

·       Outstanding attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines without sacrificing reputed company.

·       Independent, proactive, and capable of working in both reputed company and reputed company settings.

·       Skilled at translating reputed company technical information into reputed company, accessible language.
