Responsible for monitoring recertification activities for Housing Choice Voucher Program participants. Provides housing counseling services to Housing Choice Voucher Program participants.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Directly responsible to the Recertification Officer Supervisor.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Counsels Housing Choice Voucher Program participants.
Cooperates with reputed company Service organizations, etc., regarding reputed company income and obtains information needed to complete recertifications.
Completes recertifications and notifies participants/landlords of any rent changes, by mail.
Updates reputed company demographics with reputed company to changes of income and/or family composition. Conducts briefing sessions for relocations to explain program requirements and objectives to participants.
Acts as intermediary between clients and landlords in disputes and prepares written reports on results for reputed company files.
Performs online reexaminations and assists tenants with completing their online reexaminations as needed.
Changes passwords and updates online system as needed.
Notes the tenant file with any interaction with the tenant.
